Damian Lillard (at HOU, $8,800) – Obviously Russell Westbrook is a great option here, but if you don’t want to pay his hefty price tag, Lillard makes a great option. He has only flopped in one game this season, and he has scored 40+ fantasy points in every other game. He gets a great matchup against the Rockets, who currently rank as the second worst team in the NBA against opposing point guards. Lillard the focal point of the Blazers offense, and he should thrive in this fast paced game. He’s a great play in all leagues tonight.
Victor Oladipo (vs MIN, $7,400) – Oladipo’s price dropped a bit, as he hasn’t been $7,400 this season since his third game. He is expected to return from a concussion tonight, and he will likely get a full workload. He has great upside, as he’s averaging 14.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. He has the ability to triple double any time he steps on the court, and he gets a great matchup against the Timberwolves tonight. This game will likely be extremely fast paced, which means there will be plenty of opportunities for Oladipo to score fantasy points. He’s best suited for GPPs, but he can also be used in cash games if it’s announced that he will play full minutes prior to the game time.
Ish Smith (at OKC, $5,500) – Jrue Holiday played last night, which means he will likely rest tonight. That means Ish Smith will play all of the minutes he can handle, and he has already played 40+ fantasy point potential this season. He’s can score the ball, and he’s also a solid facilitator. Aside from points and assists, he can add a few rebounds and steals per game, while also recording a block or two in any game. He gets a great matchup against the Thunder in what should be a high scoring game, and Smith can be used in all leagues if Holiday is ruled out.
DeMarcus Cousins (at ATL, $10,300) – Cousins has been playing extremely well recently, while scoring over 60 fantasy points in each of his last two games. He’s playing a lot of minutes right now, and he’s averaging well over 20 shots per game over his last few games. He’s nearly a lock for a double double, as he’s averaging 28 points and 11 rebounds per game on the season. He gets a great matchup against the Hawks, who have really struggled to guard the power forward this season, and Boogie is one of the best options on the slate.
Terrence Jones (vs POR, $6,200) – Jones’ price is slowly creeping up, but it isn’t anywhere near where it should be yet. Jones has scored 32.5, 39.5, and 40.25 fantasy points in his last three games. His minutes are on the rise, and he is a great per minute fantasy player. Howard will likely start tonight, but Jones should see plenty of time at power forward, and he gets a great matchup against a fast paced Blazers team. The pace of this game alone should give Jones the opportunities he needs to hit value, but he may see 30+ minutes, and he’s a great bet to exceed value tonight.
Bojan Bogdanovic (at CHA, $4,000) – Bogdanovic is nothing but a cheap GPP flier, but he does come with a bit of upside. First, he has been playing fairly heavy minutes, as he played 30+ minutes in three of his last four games. He also has been taking double digit shots off the bench, including a game against the Rockets when he shot the ball 20 times. He also has the ability to add a few rebounds, assists, and steals, although he isn’t great at contributing anything aside from points. His price is extremely low, and he has already scored nearly 40 fantasy points once this season. He’s a good GPP option.
Nikola Vucevic (vs MIN, $7,400) – Vucevic has been dealing with injuries this season, which has kept his minutes and fantasy points down a bit. When healthy, Vucevic is playing minutes in the high-30s, and he is averaging well over 1 fantasy point per minute on the season. His minutes are down a bit because of injuries, which has also kept his price down. He looked fully healthy in his last start against the Wizards, in which he scored 41.25 fantasy points. He’s a great bet for scoring over 40 fantasy points against tonight, and he gets a good matchup against the fast paced Minnesota Timberwolves. Vucevic can be used in all leagues.
Ian Mahinmi (at PHI, $4,200) – Mahinmi is seeing extended minutes because of the injury to Myles Turner, and he is consistently hitting value. He’ll likely see minutes in the high-20s or low-30s tonight, which will be more than enough time to hit value. His price is extremely low, and he has been consistently hitting value the entire season. He gets a great matchup against the Sixers, and Mahinmi has displayed an ability to contribute in all five categories when given the opportunity. He has 30+ fantasy point upside, and a floor around 20 fantasy points. That’s a great combination for his price, and he can be used in all leagues.
