Eric Bledsoe (vs ORL, DK - $8,100, FD - $) – Bledsoe gets a great matchup against the Magic tonight, who push the pace in games, but rarely play defense. Bledsoe is a huge part of the Suns offense, as he’s averaging 21.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game this season. The Magic have been one of the worst teams in the NBA against guards this season, and Bledsoe has great upside. Bledsoe plays heavy minutes on a nightly basis, and he has triple double potential with the ability to add a few steals each night, as well. Bledsoe is the best scorer on the Suns team, and he will be doing plenty of that tonight. He’s a great tournament option.
Ricky Rubio (vs LAL, DK - $6,700, FD - $) – Rubio has been playing extremely well as the leader of the Wolves this season. He’s averaging 10.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 1.9 steals per game, which gives him great upside because of his ability to fill the stat sheet in all categories. He gets a great matchup against the Lakers, who he scored 28 points with 2 rebounds, 14 assists, and 1 steal against earlier this season. The Lakers are experimenting with lineups and Lou Williams is playing quite a bit of point guard right now. Rubio should have no problems against the Lakers weak defense again tonight, and I would be surprised if he doesn’t double double. He can be used in all leagues.
Wesley Matthews (vs ATL, DK - $5,000, FD - $) – Matthews has proven that he’s an extremely streaky player throughout his career. He’s heating up for the Mavs right now, as he’s averaging 14.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game over the last 10 days. He’s shooting as much as he wants for the Mavs, including taking 17 three-point shots a couple games ago. He has great upside, as he can contribute in four of the five categories at a high level. The matchup against the Hawks isn’t ideal, but they aren’t a team to shy away from either. Matthews is still priced fairly low, and he can be used in all leagues.
Derrick Favors (vs NY, DK - $7,900, FD - $) – Favors has been great this season with Gobert injured, and that isn’t going to change tonight against the Knicks. Favors is going to play as many minutes as he can handle, and the Knicks have an average defensive frontcourt. Favors is nearly a lock for a double double, but he has the ability to score 30+ points, as well. He may add a few extra stats with assists, steals, and blocks, but he will mainly score and rebound the ball. He’s entirely too cheap right now, and his price is going to be going up soon. Get him while he’s still this cheap.
Dirk Nowitzki (vs ATL, DK - $6,800, FD - $) – Dirk has been playing exceptionally well over the last 10 days, as he’s averaging 19.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. He doesn’t add many points in terms of steals or blocks, which hurts his upside, but he has been playing well enough to disregard that. His price is still low, which is surprising due to his recent string of games, in which he has consistently been hitting value. He gets a great matchup against the Hawks, who have struggled guarding power forwards this season. Dirk can be used in all leagues while he’s playing this well.
Larry Nance Jr. (at MIN, DK - $3,200, FD - $) – Nance was recently inserted into the starting lineup for the Lakers, and he played 29 minutes in that game. While he didn’t look all that impressive, he easily exceeded value. Tonight, his price is extremely low, and he will easily hit value if he starts once again. Since he was a first round pick, it’s likely that the Lakers give him a few games before sending him back to the bench. He has the ability to score, rebound, and block shots, which gives him good upside. He also gets a great matchup against the Wolves, who love pushing the pace of games, and Nance can be used in all leagues if he’s starting again.
Pau Gasol (at BOS, DK - $7,700, FD - $8,500) – Pau Gasol has been on an unbelievable tear over the last 10 days to say the least. In those games, he’s averaging 17.6 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.8 blocks in only 28.5 minutes per game. I’m not sure why the Bulls are limiting his minutes so much, but he has flashed tremendous upside even in limited minutes this season. He’s a five category contributor, and he has 55+ fantasy point potential if he plays heavy minutes. Even though his minutes have been limited, he can be used in all leagues.
Jared Sullinger (vs CHI, DK - $6,300, FD - $6,000) – Sullinger is in the same position as Gasol, as he has flashed great upside when given the minutes this season. He’s coming off a huge 11-point, 20-rebound game, and the Bulls have been the worst team in the NBA against centers this season. Sullinger often time struggles with foul trouble, which limits his minutes in any given games. For that reason, he’s best suited for GPPs tonight.
