John Wall (at NO, DK - $9,100, FD - $9,500) – Wall has really been heating up recently, as he’s averaging 27.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists, and 3.0 steals per game over the last 10 days. He’s one of the streakiest players in the NBA, and he is on fire right now. He has triple double potential every time he steps on the court, but he also has elite stealing ability. Wall also isn’t quite priced as high as the other elite options tonight, which makes him more valuable tonight. Finally, the most appealing part about Wall tonight is his matchup. He’ll face off against an extremely fast paced New Orleans team, and there should be plenty of points scored tonight. Wall can safely be used in all leagues.
Ricky Rubio (at DEN, DK - $7,000, FD - $7,100) – Rubio finally looks fully healthy from his most recent injury, and he has been playing minutes in the low-30s. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against the Nuggets, who love pushing the pace and turning the ball over. Rubio has surprisingly shown an ability to contribute in four categories at an elite level this season. The Nuggets have really struggled defensively this year, and Rubio has already dominated them for 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists earlier in the season. Rubio’s price isn’t quite where it was before his injury, and he can be used in all leagues until he reaches there again.
O.J. Mayo (at TOR, DK - $5,400, FD - $4,800) – Mayo will continue to start at point guard for as long as Jerryd Bayless is out, which looks like tonight. In his last four games, Mayo is averaging 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. His price is still a bit too cheap, especially on FanDuel, for the amount of minutes he’s playing. He also hasn’t flashed the scoring ability he showed earlier in his career, which means he has a more upside than he has hit so far this season. Mayo also gets a decent matchup against the Raptors tonight, and he can be used in all leagues if Bayless is ruled out again tonight.
Paul George (vs MIA, DK - $10,200, FD - $10,400) – If I were Paul George, I would feel disrespected by these price tags. He has scored 61, 71.5, and 61.5 fantasy points on DraftKings in three of his last four games. To make a comparison for that, Russell Westbrook would be priced over $12,000 if he were that hot. He’s playing huge minutes for the Pacers and he’s shooting the ball over 20 times per game. In his only game against the Heat this season, he scored 36 points with 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 3 steals. He’s one of the safest plays on the board, and he should be used in all leagues tonight.
Gordon Hayward (vs OKC, DK - $7,000, FD - $7,000) – Hayward has been incredible since the injury to Rudy Gobert. Over the last 10 days, he’s averaging 22.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Aside from his last game, which was a blowout, Hayward has been playing minutes in the high-30s or low-40s, which gives him a great floor/ceiling combination. Tonight, he gets a good matchup against the Thunder, who will be able to score, and the Jazz will likely lean heavily on Hayward to keep this game close. He’s contributing in four categories, and he’s another great option at small forward tonight. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to start both him and Paul George together tonight.
Julius Randle (at SA, DK - $5,900, FD - $6,400) – The Lakers are making this decision very difficult, but Randle has been playing too well to look passed. He’s no longer starting, but he’s still playing fairly big minutes off the bench, and he has played well in each of his last two games. Tonight, he gets a tough matchup against the Spurs, but Randle has been on fire over the last 10 days. Over that span, he’s averaging 13.7 points and 11.6 rebounds in only 27.3 minutes per game. He could see a few extra minutes in this game if he can limit his fouls, and Randle makes a great GPP option for his price tag tonight.
Andre Drummond (at PHI, DK - $9,500, FD – $9,300) – Andre Drummond gets a great matchup against the Sixers tonight. They recently struggled against Boban Marjanovic, who isn’t even on the same planet as Drummond’s talent level right now. Drummond is coming off a huge double double, as he scored 18 points with 19 rebounds. He has the ability to go for 20 points and 20 rebounds in any game, and the Sixers will have no answer for him tonight. He can be used in all leagues.
Marcin Gortat (at NO, DK - $6,000, FD - $6,300) – Gortat has been playing extremely well recently, and he is entirely too cheap right now. He returned from a family emergency last game, and he scored 18 points with 13 rebounds. Before that, he had double doubled in three consecutive games. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against a weak Pelicans defense. He’s playing huge minutes because everyone in the Wizards frontcourt is injured, and Gortat can be used in all leagues for his current price tag.
