Tyreke Evans (at ORL, DK - $7,800, FD - $7,400) – Evans has been an extremely hit or miss play recently, but he has exceeded value more often than not. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against the Magic, who love to turn games into shootouts. Evans is averaging 14.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game over the last 10 days, which shows his great versatility. He has triple double upside every time he steps on the court, and he has been playing huge minutes for the Pelicans recently. His price isn’t too high because of his few terrible games, and he makes a great play in tournaments tonight.
J.J. Barea (vs MIL, DK - $5,000, FD - $4,100) – Deron Williams is currently listed as doubtful, which means Barea will likely draw the start again tonight. In his last two starts, Barea is averaging 29.0 points and 8.0 assists per game. He has been playing exceptionally well when given big minutes, and his price on both DraftKings and FanDuel are entirely too low. The matchup against the Bucks isn’t ideal, but if Williams is ruled out tonight, Barea becomes nearly a must start. He isn’t afraid to shoot the ball and he has been playing quite a bit with the ball in his hands. He loses nearly all of his value if Williams plays, so keep an eye on his status.
Ish Smith (at UTA, DK - $4,800, FD - $4,500) – Smith was recently traded to the Sixers, and he played 31 minutes in his first start. In those 31 minutes, Smith recorded 14 points with 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal. He has displayed tremendous upside when given the minutes, and it looks like he has a free pass to big minutes in the Sixers lineup. Utah has been a much less efficient defense with Rudy Gobert out, and Smith is one of the best plays on the slate. There is very little reason to believe that the Sixers will cut his minutes anytime soon, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.
Draymond Green (vs SAC, DK - $9,300, FD - $9,200) – Green is a player that can fill the stat sheet, as he’s a five category contributor, and he can contribute at an elite level in each of the five categories. Over the last 10 days, he’s averaging 18.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game. He’s truly a triple double threat every time he steps on the court, as he’s leading the NBA in triple doubles this season. He gets a great matchup against the Kings tonight, who have one of the worst defenses in the NBA, and Green has a great combination of consistency and upside. He can be used in all leagues.
Jon Leuer (vs CLE, DK - $5,700, FD - $4,600) – Leuer was able to turn 36 minutes into 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block in his last game, and Markieff Morris will be suspended for tonight, as well. He gets a tougher matchup tonight than in his last game, but he’s fairly cheap, specifically on FanDuel, and his minutes are guaranteed tonight. He has been able to post a huge few lines when given the opportunity to play big minutes this season, and he’ll have another opportunity tonight. This will be the last night Morris is suspended, and Leuer’s price will likely continue to go up, as he has been playing well over his last couple of games. He’s a fairly safe option, and he also has great upside. He can be used as a salary relief option in all leagues tonight.
Taj Gibson (vs TOR, DK - $5,300, FD - $4,700) – Gibson posted an underwhelming line in his last start, but he still nearly hit value because his price is so low. He’s entirely too cheap once again tonight, and he gets a decent matchup against the Raptors. Gibson is guaranteed minutes with Noah out, as he’s the only other center on the team aside from Pau Gasol. He’s a significantly better player at home, where the game will be played tonight, and he has been able to post huge lines in big minutes throughout his career. He’s one of the safest options on the slate, and Gibson is another power forward that can be used in all leagues tonight.
Nikola Vucevic (vs NO, DK - $7,400, FD - $8,000) – Vucevic’s price is still entirely too low, especially on DraftKings. He has been on fire recently, averaging 21.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.0 steal per game over the last 10 days. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against the Pelicans, who have really struggled against the center this season. Earlier in the year, Vucevic dominated them for 22 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal. It wouldn’t be surprising if he posted another line like that tonight, and he can be used in all leagues.
Brook Lopez (at MIA, DK - $6,900, FD - $8,100) – Lopez is the second most expensive center on FanDuel, but the sixth most expensive center on DraftKings, which is entirely too cheap. He has posted a few huge lines over lines over the last five games, but he has also had a couple of duds. Over the last 10 days, he’s averaging 19.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game. He gets a good matchup against the Heat tonight, who have been an average team against the center, and Lopez will continue to be the focus of the Nets offense. He’s a bit too risky for cash games with Vucevic around the same price, but he’s a great tournament option.
