Russell Westbrook (at LAL, DK - $10,800, FD - $10,600) – It’s tough to avoid Westbrook if you can fit him in your lineup tonight. He has been on fire recently, averaging 23.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 9.6 assists, and 2.8 steals per game over the last 10 days. He also gets a great matchup against the Lakers, who have struggled on defense, but love to push the pace in games. Westbrook has dominated them in two games this season, averaging 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in only 28.4 minutes per game. The only concern here is a blowout, but if this game stays close, Westbrook will be fantasy gold.
Victor Oladipo (at BKN, DK - $6,600, FD - $6,000) – This pick is dependent on whether or not Elfrid Payton plays tonight. If he starts, Oladipo’s value takes a big hit, but he can still be used in GPPs, as it’s likely that he has played well enough to take on bigger minutes going forward. If Payton is out, Oladipo will draw the start, and he’ll make a great play in all leagues. In the last two games Oladipo has started for Payton, he’s averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He gets an easy matchup against the Nets tonight, who have really struggled defensively this season, but check back on Payton before using Oladipo tonight.
Mario Chalmers (vs DEN, DK - $4,600, FD - $4,900) – Chalmers makes a great play tonight if Mike Conley sits out, and it looks like he’s going to. Conley is listed as doubtful, and Chalmers will likely draw the start and he’s my favorite play on the slate. In his last start, he nearly triple doubled with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against the Nuggets, who will be pushing the pace, but have struggled on defense this season. Chalmers is still extremely cheap, especially if he’s getting a full games worth of minutes, and once Conley is ruled out, he can be used in all leagues.
Kevin Durant (at LAL, DK - $10,300, FD - $10,100) – Durant surprisingly was ruled out in his last game, but he was able to go through warm-ups and he drew the start. That means he’s completely healthy, and he played 33 minutes in a blowout to prove so. He’s averaging 26.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game over the last 10 days, and he makes a great option if you don’t have enough money to use Westbrook. He’s a consistent fantasy player with loads of upside, and he gets a great matchup against the Lakers tonight. Again, there is the blowout factor, but he’s averaging 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks in only 28.4 minutes per game against the Lakers this season.
Draymond Green (at POR, DK - $10,000, FD - $9,700) – Green lost his triple double streak in his last game, but he wasn’t really needed in that game, as they had the Lakers beat before it even started. Tonight, they get a good matchup against a fast paced Blazers team, who tend to keep games close until the fourth quarter. Over the last 10 days, Green is averaging a ridiculous 16.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.8 steals per game. He’s going to play big minutes with Ezeli and McAdoo both doubtful, and Portland has really struggled against big men this season. Green can be used in all leagues tonight.
T.J. Warren (vs MIA, DK - $4,900, FD - $4,500) – Warren is entirely too cheap on both sites, as he should be locked into big minutes tonight, and he has tremendous upside. He’s a great scorer, who can also contribute in each of the other four categories, although he likely won’t provide many blocks each night. Over the last 10 days, he is averaging 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He gets a good matchup against the Heat tonight, who have struggled to guard the small forward, and Warren makes a great play in all leagues.
Brook Lopez (vs ORL, DK - $7,900, FD - $8,700) – Lopez is on absolute fire, as he’s averaging 24.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 1.4 steals per game over the last 10 days. He gets a great matchup against the Magic tonight, who he dominated for 24 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 blocks, and 3 steals a little over a week ago. His price continues to rise, but it isn’t quite as high as it should be yet. He has the ability to contribute in each of the five categories, and he makes a great play in all leagues tonight.
Jusuf Nurkic (at MEM, DK – 4,800, FD - $4,300) – The Nuggets clearly want to bring Nurkic along at a slow pace, but I’m not certain they can at this point. He played five minutes in his first game back, but he played 15 in his second game, while recording 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 block, and he played 22 minutes in his last game, double doubling with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 blocks. He has incredible fantasy point per minute numbers, but he also has the ability to foul out in 20 minutes. He comes with some risk, but he also has as much upside as anyone if he gets 30+ minutes. He’s a GPP only option.
