Milwaukee Bucks (-5.5) @ Miami Heat (192.5 O/U)
This game to start just isn’t very appealing as far as daily fantasy goes. Bayless is back for the Bucks which eats into MCW time and usage, so at MCW cost he isn’t very playable as far as cash goes. Middleton has just been spitting fire, dropping 30+ fantasy points in the past 4 games. I think he could be worth the play here. Other than that coach Kidd always scares me, as he sometimes will stick to whatever rotation is working best which could cause players like alphabet and Monroe to lose minutes.
Miami Hurtin’ Heat are learning that they need to find younger and healthier players. Everyone is hurting or injured to the point where they might only have 8 active players tomorrow. In daily fantasy that’s good as everyone on that team will have a share of minutes, but that’s something to monitor after shoot around. Hassan Whiteside could be in a great spot to produce as the Bucks having been struggling recently against centers at 25th worse against the centers the last 10 games. Tyler Johnson will be worth the punt if he draws the start again, just wouldn’t be all over him as the Bucks have been great against PGs. I would monitor this game throughout the day, if the Heat end up having a lot of guys out I would target this a game to find the value and having caution playing certain Buck players.
Minnesota Timberwolves (-5) @ New Orleans Pelicans (203.5 O/U)
Minnesota finally broke their 9 game losing streak on Sunday with a large win over the Suns. Now they draw a game against one of the most inconsistent teams. With Rubio’s very poor play the past 4 games of averaging 22.5 fantasy points per game, he could be worth owning as he should be low owned. Other than Rubio you can entertain players like Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns who have decent matchups. Other than that it’s hard to find much on Minnesota, Zach Lavine and Shabazz are always worth the punt here and there.
New Orleans is almost to the point of being 100% healthy, which still doesn’t make them scary still. Anthony Davis should have a new stat of averaging 1.6 in-game injuries a week at this point. He is always worth playing, but the question is will he finish the game. If you want to take the risk tomorrow I wouldn’t say no to it. If you expect him to get injured though you can run with Ryan Anderson who has been hot as of lately. Eric Gordon/Jrue Holiday are the only other two I would say as of now that are worth playing, both have upside and are cheap.
Oklahoma City Thunder (-8.5) @ Denver Nuggets (212 O/U)
I don’t think I need to go into much detail here. Westbrook plays so that means Westbrook is a play. His partner in crime the Durantula is also in play with him. Never opposed of playing both as we have seen them both score 50 fantasy points before no problem. Another player would be Ibaka, as the Nuggets are 29th against the PF in the past 10 games. The two centers, Kanter and Adams, are always worth considering, as they tend to be low owned and have that chance of dropping x6 value.
Nuggets are getting back to be healthy and showing some signs of life, as they took down the Warriors at home recently and won 3 of the last 4. I like Mudiay here, as he clearly doesn’t have minute restrictions and returned to his role. His cost is very nice now as he is $1,000 less than he was before injury. I think the Nuggets could make this game close and reason why I like both sides of the ball. Gallinari will be dealing with Durant, but I think he is worth the GPP play as the slate is small. Faried is another explosive player who could go all Team USA 2014 on them. I like this game due to it having players worth paying up for in Durant, Westbrook, Gallinari, Faried and Ibaka with values like Mudiay and Kanter/Adams.
Indiana Pacers (-7) @ Phoenix Suns (209.5 O/U)
Pacers are coming to town with a 3 game losing and not been looking to hot. Last win they got was actually against the Suns. This could be also due to Knight being out with food poisoning, but a win is a win. Paul George only put up 35 fantasy points during that meeting, but I expect him to exceed it this game. I don’t really know how I feel about anyone else on the Pacers though. If George Hill for sure plays he is worth looking at and if he sits then Monta becomes playable. CJ Miles is worth the punt, but he can also burn you at the same time.
The Suns are interesting with their front court. I don’t know what they are ever going to do at this point and you never know if you will see Morris play or if Mirza/Leuer will only split the minutes. It’s confusing nonetheless which makes all them down their more GPP plays. Mirza would probably be the safest one if you wanted to play one. With Indiana being god awful with rebounding you could go with Lens also. Knight just is always worth playing, as he is literally the team at this point with no Eric Bledsoe. Devin Booker is your cheap SG on FD, but on DK he is just so expensive that he is much risker.
Good luck tonight! It’s a small slate so going crazy sometimes with your picks could pay off or burn a hole in your pocket so proceed with caution.
