Patrick Beverley (@POR, FD - $4,600, DK - $5,000) Houston is coming off a road loss to the Warriors which isn’t much of a surprise as it’s the Warriors. But the big thing about tonight is it’s a back to back road game. So Houston is going to be a little tired coming into Portland and should make this game a bit more competitive. Lillard struggles in defending opposing PGs due to trying to be the whole team more say, but Patrick should be able to put up a handful of points. I consider him more of a punt as we have seen Patrick put up some duds with 30+ minutes of play, so use him with caution. He could also lose some minutes to backups like Ty Lawson and Jason Terry. Since it's a big slate however and you want to go Star and Scrubs mode then he would be for someone you can plug in that has the minute upside compared to people around him. DraftKings he isn’t as appealing due to being a bit pricing, but FanDuel he is a lot better of a play.
E’Twaun Moore (v ATL, FD - $4,200, DK - $5,600) The Bulls without Butler are just terrible. But that just means other players have to step up and fill his role. With Butler out Moore has seen 30+ minutes in each game and having to do more than his usual. Luckily his price on Fanduel hasn’t moved enough to make him that risky yet. Only have to drop 26 points to hit his x6 value shouldn’t be too hard for him to do. He has failed to score under 20 pts once in the past 4 games. He will be owned by the public as everyone has figured out who Butlers backup is at this point, so you aren’t getting much of a sneaking play here. But if he does have 25+ tonight and you don’t ride the wave with him then it will hurt you.
Stanley Johnson (v DEN, FD - $4,900, DK $6,000) After starting off really well being Pope’s replacement he finally hit the dud. A majority of the public were on him for last game and it didn’t pay off at all. Which was a good and bad thing in its own, as he hurt pretty much everyone. Now tonight we might not see 50+% ownership, but more like 25-35%. Which isn’t bad, but I think Stanley can come out a little bit better this game. I think cash wise he is okay on Fanduel right now, but Draftkings he is a bit too much. With Ersan probably out tonight too it might make his usage increase which can turn into more points hopefully. He is definitely another player the public might look at but might overlook due to his poor performance last game.
LaMarcus Aldridge (@ORL, FD - $7,300, DK - $7,100) Over the past 5 games Aldridge is averaging 41.62 fantasy points, which is huge for his cost. With Duncan out he has been just getting into his former Blazer self and just playing very well. Now they are coming off a back to back tonight and could struggle just enough to keep this game closer than it normally would. They had just recently played the Magic in which Aldridge dropped 41.8 fantasy points. As the position right doesn’t look as promising I would consider Aldridge in all formats especially in cash.
DeMarcus Cousins (@PHI, FD - $10,600, DK - $11,100) Okay so today I decided to go on the AC Karma simulation machine to see what Cousins would do tonight. After a game of NBA2K16, he managed to drop 79 points, 15 boards, and 3 blocks. What does this mean? That he will probably destroy the whole entire 76ers dreams and hopes of ever getting out of dead last. Now will he drop 79 points? No, but you never know. Philly is terrible down low right now at defending the paint and Cousins should have a field day today. Vegas even expects this game to actually be close so join the train while you can.
