As NBA is a game where last minute real life changes are made before tipoff, always monitor breaking news up to last second
Cash Plays: Corey Joesph, Derrick Rose, Isaiah Thomas,
Gpp Plays: Stephen Curry, Matthew Dellevadova, Dennis Schroder
Game Theory: Kyle Lowry will undergo wrist surgery and is likely out for the rest of the regular season. His backup Corey Joesph has been feasting with the minutes he's been given due to Lowry's absence and I don't expect that to change tonight against Derrick Rose defense in an uptempo game. Isaiah Thomas has seen his price drop from what was 10k+ on both sites back down to a somewhat reasonable 9.3k price tag on fanduel. Thomas has 50+ FDP upside and should see his usual heavy workload today against the Hawks. Matthew Dellevadova is projected to get 25-30 minutes and at close to minimum price on both sites offer some upside if Coach Jason Kidd keeps him on the floor.
Cash Plays: DeMar Derozan, Giannis Antetokounmpo
Gpp Plays: Seth Curry, Klay Thompson, Wesley Matthews
Game Theory: Kyle Lowry's injury affects DeMar Derozan as well, who will continue to bolster the Raptors team and should be firing off a ton of shots in this uptempo game tonight with the Knicks. Seth Curry is in pace up matchup with the Miami Heat and should continue to see opportunities in the Mavericks lineup. As an undersized guard who relies on his shot to fall I'm only playing Seth tonight in GPP's. Klay Thompson can go off on any night as we have seen in the past and nothing is different tonight in a high game total matchup with Philadelphia.
Cash Plays: Carmelo Anthony, Robert Covington, Lebron James (Questionable)
Gpp Plays: Paul George, Jalen Brown
Game Theory: With all the drama surrounding Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks, Melo is doing what he does best... play basketball. He has been phenomenal since the All-Star break whether its his efficiency from the floor or coming in clutch. With Brandon Jennings gone and Kristapas Porzingis unlikely to play, Melo should be firing up a ton of shots tonight and is a great play. Similair to my love for Brandon Ingram in GPP's, I always find myself on Jaylen Brown. He had a clutch shot yesterday and I hope he brings that confidence in his shot tonight in an up tempo matchup with the Hawks.
Cash Plays: Serge Ibaka, Dario Saric
Gpp Plays: Willie Cauley-Stein, Michael Beasley, Paul Millsap
Game Theory: Dario Saric has been sensational in Joel Embiid's and will continue to get the minute's and shots tonight against the Golden State Warriors. This game has a huge game total and if Philadelphia can keep this game close it's coming to be crucial that Saric produces. Michael Beasley has immense scoring upside and if he is rolled out there in Jason Kidd's volatile minute allotments he can do some serious damage. If he's matched up against Channing Frye tonight I expect him to take advantage and crush value (if he can stay out of foul trouble). Paul Millsap is too cheap and offers a high floor with some upside against a Boston team that just can't cover bigs.
Cash Plays: Guillermo Hernangomez, Kyle O'Quinn, Clint Capela
Gpp Plays: Myles Turner, Dwight Howard
Game Theory: In my opinion center is a loaded position today and you can't go wrong if you still to the guys above. With Porzingis out there is going to be a lot of minutes to go around between Hernangomez and O'Quinn. Both provide a safe floor although Hernangomez carries much more upside. Clint Capela has been pretty consistent of late and I think he has a solid floor. For GPP I am turning to the other center opposing Capela, Myles Turner. Houston has given up 6 40+ FDP games to opposing centers in the month of February. In his last matchup against them Turner dropped 43 and he has a great chance to do it again tonight.
