Point Guard
Top Play: Russell Westbrook – Don’t feel this needs much explaining. It’s the Rockets, it’s at home, and he is the team.
Secondary play: Kyrie Irving – With Lebron sitting this gives a bump all around to Cav players. Averaging already 20 shots per game over the past 5 makes fading someone’s usage that will increase much more tonight hard to do.
- Fades: John Wall, Mike Conley, Eric Bledsoe
Shooting Guard
Top Play: James Harden – Another player that just doesn’t need much explaining. Revenge game. He is the team. Triple Double King.
Secondary play: Giannis Antetokoumpo – With most people moving towards Harden this makes Alphabet a good tournament play. Decent O/U and the underdogs for some reason against a team on a back to back and missing maybe their key player.
- Fades: Demar DeRozan
Small Forward
Top Play: Kevin Durant – With the road trip to Toronto and not being too favored gives Durant that chance to get you your 35+ minutes tonight. Only scary part of it is Carroll’s defense could affect Durant, but it’s Durant. With no Lebron tonight expect ownership in one of the highest total games to be high for Durant.
Secondary play: Otto Porter – With Beal out and Wall to see minute restrictions probably this opens up Porter to be in spot for higher usage when playing with the backups. I expect him and Morris to have high minutes and give you a safe floor.
- Fades: Carmelo Anthony, Rudy Gay
Power Forward
Top Play: Kevin Love – Same really as Kyrie. Love hasn’t been the greatest without Lebron, but before the news even came out Love was already in one of the best spots at PF tonight. He might not drop you 50+, but getting that 5x value out of him shouldn’t be much of an issue tonight.
Secondary play: Draymond Green – Getting Green in a spot where he can get massive boards is always a + with his triple double ability. I like Green more on DK than FD, but he is still playable on both sites.
- Fades: LaMarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin
Center
Top Play: DeMarcus Cousins – This wouldn’t be a target for me to bring up if his cost wasn’t so low on DK. This game is kind of something I don’t want to touch, but with his cost being where it is this makes it difficult to fade. He torched the Spurs in the beginning of the season and should again tonight with Gasol being down low.
Secondary play: Kelly Olynyk – Someone I am not usually to on the play, but with Al Horford still out it puts him in a spot to continue getting minutes. Ownership could be lower than before with his bad game against NO, but against Bogut he shouldn’t have an issue as long as he gets going early.
Fades: Myles Turner, Andre Drummond, Nikola Vucevic
PUNTS or Injury boosts:
Iman Shumpert, Dario Saric, Richaun Holmes, Jamal Murray/Jameer Nelson, Andre Roberson, Terrance Ross, Ersan Illyasova
Eye out of Memphis players resting, if more Cavs get rested, and if AD for some reason sits.
