FanDuel Value Plays
Quarterback ($7500 or less)
Kirk Cousins ($7300) @ DET: The Lions allowed 321 passing yards and 3 touchdowns to Case Keenum! That is very bad. Detroit is ranked 31st against the pass and this is a great spot for Kirk to have a good day. The Redskins run game actually had a very decent day against the Eagles last week, but I can definitely see this game as a potential shootout where Kirk hits value.
Running Back ($7000 or less)
Jacquizz Rodgers ($5600) @ SF: The 49ers are a team that we will target running backs against all season. Shady McCoy went bonkers for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns against this team. Doug Martin is out again, so Jacquizz Rodgers should be an amazing value play. I am not saying he will get another 30 carries, but he could definitely get 20 with one of the best matchups on the board for running backs.
Mark Ingram ($6600) @ KC: The Chiefs run defense is actually ranked 27th in the NFL. Mark Ingram has been getting a decent workload also lately with no less than 15 carries in his last three games. Ingram always has a higher floor because of his catching ability, and he could end up being a nice value on the road in week 7.
Wide Receiver ($7000 or less)
Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin ($6100) @ ATL: Both of these receivers are underpriced and in a good spot against a Falcons defense that is ranked 24th against the pass. They both get at least 5 targets per game and should feast in this matchup. I think Tyrell will be slightly more popular, but either of them can pop off a good game this week.
Jeremy Maclin ($6800) vs. NO: Maclin let down a bunch of his owners last week with a 6.4 point performance against the Raiders. This week, he gets one of my favorite teams to target against in the Saints. He is generally safe in hitting his value throughout his career and sometimes he even pops off a big game. I think he is a fine play to hit value this week.
Tight End ($5500 or less)
Gary Barnidge ($5200) @ CIN: Barnidge’s usage has been increasing over the recent weeks and has been playing more snaps lately. We all saw last year what Barnidge can do, and I think he is finally healthy again. He gets a matchup against an average team against the tight end (16th). We know that the Browns will probably be losing so hopefully Barnidge will be targeted 5-8 times leading to a good fantasy day.
DraftKings Value Plays
Quarterback ($6000 or less)
Colin Kaepernick ($5300) vs. TB: I can’t believe I am recommending Colin Kaepernick. Tampa has an extreme funnel defense so they are very good against the run and very bad against the pass. Kap always has an increased floor because he can easily run for 50 yards in a game. He actually looked decent last week against the Bills, but obviously not great. This may be a bold call, but I think Kaepernick will be one of the top value QB’s of the week.
Running Back ($5000 or less)
Duke Johnson ($3900) @ CIN: The Bengals should be winning this game by a large margin. This would lean towards many dump off passes to Duke Johnson. He is averaging just under 5 targets per game and with the Bengals being 29th in the league against pass-catching backs, I’ll take it.
Jacquizz Rodgers ($4300) @ SF: The 49ers are a team that we will target running backs against all season. Shady McCoy went bonkers for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns against this team. As long as Doug Martin is out again, Jacquizz Rodgers could be an amazing value play. I am not saying he will get another 30 carries, but he could definitely get 20 with one of the best matchups on the board for running backs.
Wide Receiver ($5000 or less)
Adam Humphries ($3000) @ SF: With Vincent Jackson going to the injured reserve, Adam Humphries should be getting more usage going his way from now on. He has already been promoted to the team's WR2. He is the absolute minimum on DraftKings and can easily get 3x value in an up-paced game against the 49ers.
Tyrell Williams ($4400) @ ATL: Tyrell Williams is underpriced and in a good spot against a Falcons defense that is ranked 24th against the pass. He gets at least 5 targets per game and should feast in this matchup. I think he will be decently owned, but this game can easily turn into a shootout fast.
Tight End ($4000 or less)
Jack Doyle ($2500) @ TEN: It is starting to look like Dwayne Allen will be out this week. Jack Doyle already has a decent role on this team. With Allen probably out, this sets up as an amazing spot for a minimum priced tight end to hit value. The Titans are 14th in the league against the tight end, so they are pretty decent, but Doyle literally only needs 3 catches for 30 yards to hit his value and I think he can demolish that.
