Matt Ryan (FD - $8,700, DK - $7,200) - Woooo I finally get to cover one of my favorite players. Matty Ice has really turned it up this year with Julio and him being pretty much the best duo currently in the league. San Diego continues to have injury issues with Flowers and Philon ruled out this weekend in their secondary. This leaves them with just an average line and very below average secondary at this point that should help Matty to continue to his big year. Expect this game to a high scoring shoot out with a lot potential for every player. Running a 2 player stack with Ryan would not be a bad choice, even if it's an RB + WR stack as both Coleman and Freeman have that catching ability.
Other Options: Andy Dalton, Blake Bortles, Kurt Cousins, Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford
Demarco Murray (FD - $8,700, DK - $7,200) - It just keeps getting worse and worse this week at running back. A lot of injuries out there and bad match ups for this high costing players is leaving Murray to be alone. With a handful of minimum - low costing players available at RB this week it makes Murray an easy player to take in a match up that is literally bread and butter for him. Colts continue to struggle against the run and be the worst team out there defensively. You will not be getting him at lower ownership at all, I would assume in cash he is 50+ and gpp probably 40+. It’s just a mess this week at this position and it's not leaving much to use. If you want to avoid this high ownership you can look else where in DJ or Bell who will have lower ownerships due to who DJ has to play and Bell with no QB. I would make sure though if you are making more than 1 lineup that Murray is in one.
Other Options: Jacquizz Rodgers, Spencer Ware, Devonta Freeman, Melvin Gordon, James White
Mike Evans (FD - $8,000, DK - $7,800) - It's one of those weeks where paying up for each WR position might be the play. A lot of options out there to choose from with all great matchups. With the recent Vincent Jackson news, it made Evans stock go way higher. Evans has been one of the most targeted players in the league, if not for the bye week he would still be #1. Going into San Fran is just an ideal matchup for Evans against a secondary that isn’t a threat. With both teams having that uptempo style it should cause for back and forth play to give Evans plenty of opportunity to score/put up some big numbers. Cash wise Evans is a safe can be at his cost, as is yet to drop below 10 fantasy points.
Other Options: AJ Green, Julio Jones, Allen Robinson, Jeremy Maclin, TY Hilton, Amari Cooper
Travis Kelce (FD - $6,300, DK - $5,300) - First off Kelce has a bachelor type show on E or Bravo that is strange as hell. Not sure if anyone has bothered watching it, but the commercials for it have been straight cheesy with football puns. But alright I felt I needed to touch on this game in KC. I don’t get the O/U score, I think it's going to be way lower than that with a KC team who is going to run run run and keep the ball out of Brees’ hand. I do think though if KC gets down the field, which shouldn’t be a problem, that Kelce is in line to get some end zone targets. He is a safer play than most at this price range, but there are a lot better gambles out there that won’t have his high ownership.
Other Options: Jack Doyle, Gary Barnidge, Delanie Walker, Julius Thomas
New England Patriots (FD - $4,400, DK - $2,900) - No Big Ben no problems. With Bill being the type of coach that likes to try to shut down one player in a game, it makes it pretty obvious who they are going to target. With Landry at the helm this week there will be no real threat in the air as he is honestly one of the worst QBs in the league. Brown never did anything last year when he had to play and neither did Bell really. Was kinda just an empty body of a team without Big Ben. For sure your safer play at the cost who should a safe 6+ points.
Other Options: Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings
