Daniel Mengden (+115)
Daniel Mengden is expected to draw the start for the Oakland A’s tonight, which is a bit concerning. He has struggled at times this season, but he has allowed only one run over his last 13.2 innings. He won’t pitch deep into the game, though, leaving the majority of the innings for Oakland’s top-10 bullpen. Oakland’s offense has been playing at a high level recently, as they are averaging 8.2 runs per game over the last week. They get a tough matchup on paper against James Paxton, but he has been struggling over his last 10 starts. Over that span, he owns a 5-4 record with a 4.03 ERA. He has also allowed three or more earned runs in four of his last five starts, although his one start was only 0.1 innings. Oakland’s offense has also been at its best away from home this season.

Boston Red Sox
Nathan Eovaldi (-245)
The Boston Red Sox have features an elite offense at home, where they are averaging 5.6 runs per game. They also own a 72% win rate in Boston this season. Tonight, they get a matchup against Dylan Bundy, who owns a 2-6 record with a 6.96 ERA over his last 10 starts. Bundy has allowed five or more runs in five of his last eight starts, as well. Nathan Eovaldi will draw the start for Boston tonight, and he has struggled at times this season. Still, through four home games (three home starts), he owns a 2-1 record with a 2.25 ERA. He also gets a great matchup against the Baltimore Orioles, who are averaging only 3.7 runs per game over the last week. This is a matchup of the best offense in the MLB against one of the worst offenses in the Majors, while Boston also sees the advantage at pitcher.

San Francisco Giants
Derek Holland (-145)
I’m not overly high on the San Francisco Giants, but these odds are too wide to ignore. Derek Holland will be taking the mound for San Francisco, and he has posted a 2-0 record with a 2.91 ERA over his last 10 starts. He has also allowed two or fewer earned runs in eight of those games, as well. He has struggled for the most part against the San Diego Padres, though. The Giants get an elite matchup against Bryan Mitchell, as well, and he brings a 1-4 record with a 6.16 ERA into this game. Mitchell has also allowed seven earned runs over eight innings in two matchups against San Francisco this season. Neither offense has been playing particularly well, but the Giants also feature an advantage with their bullpen.
